Last week our fantastic Brass Band had their first rehearsal of the academic year.
The extra-curricular Brass Band is made up of year 5 and 6 pupils. This ensemble gives our year 5 pupils the opportunity to embed the skills they have learnt during whole class cornet lessons. Some of our year 6 students are playing different instruments such as trombone, French horn and euphonium which they have only started learning recently in after-school elective lessons. In their first rehearsal, the musicians rehearsed each part individually before working hard to play as an ensemble.
We look forward to seeing and hearing Brass Band perform at exciting opportunities throughout the year!
