On 11 November, our Catholic school community gathered on the playground for a special Remembrance Service, joined by parents, parishioners, Lord Lieutenant Derrick Anderson, our Local MP Paulette Hamilton, and members of the Fire Service.
With more than 420 children present, the service included prayers led by staff and pupils, alongside reflective readings and poems honouring the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served in past and present conflicts.
At 11.00am we observed the two-minute silence, creating a powerful moment of unity and stillness across the playground. The service concluded with the laying of wreaths and handmade wreaths which were created by each year band.
The presence of parents and parishioners, combined with the respect and maturity shown by our pupils, made this remembrance service a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
