On Thursday 14th September, children from Year 3 returned to school for an evening of activities focussing on our Big Question, “How do we know about the past if it is not written down?”

The children were so excited to have the opportunity to work in solidarity with each other and take part in a variety of activities throughout the evening. They had the opportunity to be hunters and gathers and shelter builders, as well as crack Stone Age codes, create cave drawings and create Stone Age art using natural ingredients.

However, the highlight of the evening was having a roaring campfire and toasting marshmallows.

We concluded the evening with a reverent prayer service focussed on the Catholic Social Teaching principle- Solidarity. It was a wonderful experience that pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed!
