On Thursday 6th October, children from Year 3 returned to school for an evening of activities focussing on our Big Question, “How do we know about the past if it is not written down?”

The children were so excited to have the opportunity to work in teams and take part in a variety of activities throughout the evening. They had the opportunity to be ice excavators, hunters and gathers, shelter builders, as well as crack Stone Age codes and create Stone Age art using natural ingredients.

However, the highlight of the evening was having a roaring campfire and toasting marshmallows.

We concluded the evening with a reverent prayer service focussed on Creation before watching a film before settling down for the night. It was a wonderful experience that pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed!
