On Friday 8th July 2022 our Caritas team met with Paulette Hamilton, MP for Erdington, to discuss her stance on supporting those seeking sanctuary.
Paulette shared how our first class country should offer a first class welcome to those in need. She talked passionately about her own parents’ emigration to England as part of the wind rush generation and how she is proudly first generation British.
Our Ambassadors left impressed with Paulette’s commitment to developing Erdington into a ‘community of sanctuary’ and look forward to continuing our school’s own good work with her support.
