On Monday 28th March 2022, Year 3JB delighted their parents and peers to a Class Assembly on Lent.
Children worked collaboratively to share the true meaning of Lent – for us to pray, fast and give to others also known as Almsgiving.
The children re-enacted several bible passages where the number 40 was significant in the bible – the length of Lent and shared the history of many traditions that we carry out today. The children sang two moving songs – one of them reminding us of the importance of being still.
They concluded their Assembly by challenging all with a Go Forth on how we can be active during this Lenten time.
