On Monday 21st March, Year 2 welcomed their family to an assembly to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The children spoke eloquently and sang beautifully. They spoke about all the special women in their lives and why they appreciate them.
They shared with the audience the origins of Mother’s Day and spoke about how Mary (the Mother of Jesus) was an important part of God’s plan to bring Jesus into the world.
All the mothers in the audience received a bunch of flowers and a special hand painted portrait. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
