As part of this year’s World Book Day Reception visited Erdington Library.
They walked to the library enjoying looking for key buildings that they will be drawing on maps during this half term.
At the library they were shown to the children’s section and given information on how to join the library, how many books they could borrow and opening times. The Librarian then read a book that was new to all children and staff. The children enjoyed joining in with the animal noises and predicting what would happen next.
After a couple of stories the children looked around and chose a book to sit and look at. Some children enjoyed lying on the floor others sat in the comfy chairs.
A fantastic time was had by staff and children.
