Chicken Run Gets a Makeover

January 2012

As the winter set in the chicken's area became a mud patch. Pupils love to look at them during break times but this was causing problems as everyone was getting covered in mud. So the chicken monitors had a meeting with a local landscape gardener and a plan was formed. The area has been transformed with bark and is now a much more pleasant place to be for the chickens and their admirers.

Reprographics Areas

Summer 2011

During the summer break, Mr Thornton was kept busy by creating some new storage areas and a purpose built area for reprographics. The finished product is stunning and will be put to good use during the new term.

Sensory Garden

Summer 2011

With the help of pupils, parents, staff, local businesses and friends of the Abbey a sensory garden has been created. On a lovely Saturday morning a hard working group transformed the once over grown area. A non-uniform day provided the plants that would soon flourish for all to enjoy. Lunch time supervisors and Year 6 rangers look after the plot to ensure that the area can thrive. As the area grows and becomes established we look forward to the adventures and learning opportunities it will provide.
