Event - Kingsbury School Sports Partnership World Sports Day

13 June 2016

On Monday 13th June, children took part in the Kingsbury School Sports Partnership World Sports Day. This was a celebration involving all schools in the partnership, in which children took part in various sporting events, such as tag rugby, handball, tri-golf, football and fencing.

All the children had a great day, where the children had to opportunity to compete in a variety of competitions as well as trying different sports.

The day began with an promotion of the upcoming Olympics in Brazil where the children were took a lap of honour representing the country Germany. Also, they had the opportunity to watch some tradition Brazilian dancing and hear an inspiring speech for a 2012 London Olympics bronze medal winner Sally Walton.

It was a fantastic day all round; thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks go to all the organisers from the Kingsbury School Sports Partnership, including our Headteacher who is the chair of the organisation.

What a great way to celebrate our sporting achievements and prepare for the upcoming Olympics!
