Event - World Book Day

7 March 2013

World Book Day 2013 was Booktastic!

On Thursday 7th March 2013, all the children in school dressed as their favourite book character or wore pyjamas. The costume were amazing.

The day started with an assembly in which some of the children and teachers read out a page from their favourite book. There were many different book characters including Oliver Twist, Cinderella, Spider-Man and many other book characters.

The whole school read in silence for 5 minutes travelling to different places in their minds, through their books.

As well as lots of book related activities throughout the day, many children went to the book fair in the school hall after school. There were a variety of books to choose from like the new book 'Ratburger' written by David Walliams and the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The third Wheel.

All the children had lots of fun and we can't wait until next year.
