Event - Romeo and Juliet at the Old Rep

20 October 2014

After weeks of auditions, study and rehearsal Year 6 were more than ready to present their play at the Old Rep Theatre as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival.

Arriving at the theatre at midday, children first had a technical rehearsal and our three technicians were positioned in the sound and lighting box ready to begin. This was followed by a full dress rehearsal, watched by another attentive school.

After a short break, the excitement began to mount as we could hear the theatre filling with eager friends and relatives.

After a fantastic performance of Romeo and Juliet, we were proud to take our final bow. It was a wonderful experience, the memories of which will last a lifetime.
