Event - Road Safety Campaign Protest

27 June 2019

We were delighted to join forces with Brake (the road safety charity) and campaign for safer roads around our school.

The whole school made banners and then went for a walk around our local area to raise awareness about healthy lifestyles, safety and care for the environment.

We were joined by a Governor and parents as we completed our march, and were delighted with the positive response from members of the public and other road users.

As a Catholic community, we know that we are active participants in the world that we live in and have an obligation to stand up for the causes that we believe in. Our pupils were a credit to us as they took action to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

As Pope Francis said, "Creation is not a property, which we can rule over at will; or, even less, is the property of only a few. Creation is a gift, it is a wonderful gift that God has given us, so that we care for it and we use it for the benefit of all, always with great respect and gratitude."
