Event - A Visit from the RNLI

7 March 2012

On Wednesday the 7th March the whole school enjoyed a visit from the RNLI.

We were informed about the various different flags that we might see when we are on the beach. We were also reminded of the dangers of using inflatables in the sea, it was advised that we save these for swimming pools as they cause many accidents every year.

REMEMBER - you should never enter the sea when the red flag is flying!

All lifeguards wear uniform...

...and protect themselves from the elements.

Know your lifeguard flags.

This flag shows us it is safe to swim in the water.

You should never enter the sea when the red flag is flying.

Inflatables are not a good idea in the sea.

Some lifeguards use jetskis to get around.

We got to look at the lifeguards' equipment.
