Event - Abbey Turns Green for Macmillan Fundraising

27 September 2013

On Friday 27th September 2013 pupils and staff of Abbey Catholic Primary School dressed in green to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer charity. Lots of families in the school and parish have been supported by Macmillan nurses and this was schools opportunity to give something back.

Staff at school arranged a coffee morning on the school drive and parents enjoyed tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Generous donations from parents meant that £81 was raised on the school drive whilst pupils and staff raised £362 in return for wearing green clothes.

Midland Plant Training and Testing generously funded the refreshments ensuring that all money raised went directly to the Macmillan charity.
