Event - Visit from Olympic Games Maker

12 October 2012

We were enthralled by a visit from Peter, who spent his summer volunteering as a London 2012 Olympic Games Maker. He shared stories of his experiences of the Olympic Games. Peter's enthusiasm was contagious, as he talked about many of the Olympic values.

As part of their topic, Fit for Life, Year 5 pupils were able to interview Peter about his time in the Olympic Park. They re-enacted some of the scenarios that Peter encountered as his role as a 'Meeter and Greeter'.

Peter had created a challenge board that was full of pictures and questions to quiz the pupils, and they had the opportunity to try on his Games Maker uniform.

Pupils were left in no doubt that they should seize the opportunities that come their way, as Peter enthused about his part in the success of London 2012.
