Event - A Visit to 10 Downing Street

12 December 2011

On Monday 12th December, four lucky children from the Abbey Catholic Primary School got chosen by Kingsbury Sports Partnership to go to number 10 Downing Street!

We set off to the busy train station to get the train to London. We travelled to the centre of London via the underground. When we arrived in London we went to look at Big Ben, we also looked at the 'London Eye'. They were both beautiful.

When we had finished looking around we headed towards 10 Downing Street. We had to bring our passports, a police man checked our ID. We were all standing outside taking pictures. We even got to knock the famous black door. When we got inside we got offered drinks and snacks.

We walked around, there were lots of different activites. We all designed a bag, famous sports people signed them. We made Christmas cards, painted different things, had our faces painted, danced and had a great time.

At the end of our time inside 10 Downing Street, we went outside into the garden with Santa Claus; out there were four of his reindeers, we even got to feed them! After a great day it was time to go back to school on the train.
