Event - Y3P First Holy Communion

5 May 2012

On Saturday May 5th the children in Y3P celebrated the special sacrament of Holy Communion.

The sun was shining and all the children and their families were very excited. The boys looked very smart and the girls looked elegant in their dresses.

There was a wonderful atmosphere in Church and the service began with a wonderful solo by Lucy Warom followed by a procession of the children. Mrs Adamo provided the music throughout and as usual was fantastic!

Year 3 did themselves proud and responded during the Mass with confidence as well as singing their hearts out, praising God. Father Gabriel McGuire led a Holy and reverent service and the bells which were arranged by our Head Governor, Simon Braggington, were a lovely touch.

After the Mass, the children went back into school for a Communion Breakfast. As they arrived, the volunteers and PTA members gave them a clap of honour as they entered the hall. The children had a wonderful time at the breakfast although the combination of ham wrapped in party rings left a lot to be desired!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to provide refreshments for the families and children. Y3P would like to thank everyone involved in making their day very special and we all have very happy memories which will stay with us.
