Event - Year 5's Retreat to Alton Castle

18 to 20 April 2012

As part of their sacramental preparation Year 5 visited Alton Castle in Staffordshire.

At the castle they got to enjoy a range of activities, led by a fabulous team. From bike riding, trekking, climbing, survival, adventure course to a talent show.

Throughout our time away we reflected on the beauty of God's world, and shared many spiritual moments, through Mass, open prayer, night prayer and meditations.

Pupils and staff supported each other through the challenges they faced and everybody had a brilliant time.

We were proud too that one of our expupils is one of the castle team who led us through our retreat.

The bike ride was fabulous fun.

We thought about difficulties that people face.

In the cave for meditation.

Toasting marshmallows.

We put our trust in one another.

We enjoyed puddle jumping!

The mud did not stop us.

The welly room came in handy!

The challenging climbing wall.

Learning some new hymns.

We are very proud of our ex-pupil.

The whole group.
