Event - 100 Years Fun Day

29 March 2010

Abbey Catholic Primary School celebrated 100 years as a Junior and Infant School in 2010, although Parish records show that an Infant School was in place from the mid 1800's.

We began our year of 100th Birthday celebrations with a whole school Mass on March 29th 2010, celebrating the 100th anniversary of The Right Rev. Edward Ilsley visiting our school.

We had a special 100th Birthday Celebration Cake made and each child and adult in school enjoyed a piece.

The installation of a 'trim trail' in our playground was a birthday gift for all the children in school.

We all love our school Trim Trail - to celebrate the school's birthday.

We were delighted Mr Tierney came to join the party.
