Upcoming Trips/Event Information for Parents

Fri 8 November - Year 6 Shakespeare Festival Performance

On this day Year 6 will leave school at approximately midday for dress rehearsals at The Old Rep, ready for their performance on the evening at 7pm.

The evening finishes at approximately 10pm – all children need to be collected from the venue on this evening (even if you do not choose to purchase a ticket to watch them in their performance) as staff will not be coming back to school. Further information concerning arrangements for performance day will be sent out nearer the time.

A payment request for cost of travel will be sent via ParentMail.

Tickets for the performance are sold by The Old Rep Theatre on a first come first served basis. They sell out quickly – you have been warned! You purchase tickets from The Old Rep Theatre on 0121 359 9444 or online (external link). Please check the The Old Rep website on a regular basis to see when these tickets are going on sale. As yet we have not been informed of a date.

Fri 8 November - Year 3 trip to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Year 3 children will visit the Museum and Art Gallery in Birmingham on this day. They will travel by bus, wear school uniform and bring a packed lunch in a clearly labelled disposable bag. They will return to school for normal hometime collection. Details sent out via ParentMail on 24/9/19.

Fri 6 December - Year 1 trip to Sudbury Toy Museum

Year 1 children will visit Sudbury Toy Museum on this day. Travel by coach, children wear uniform, need a packed lunch in a named disposable bag. They will return to school for normal hometime collection. If you require school to provide a SET packed lunch please contact School Office by 15/11/19. Mon 6 January - Year 2 trip to Buddhist Temple

Year 2 will visit this Temple in Birmingham in January.Wear uniform, travel by coach,need a packed lunch in named disposable bag.Return to school for normal home time.If you wish school to provide a SET packed lunch speak to School Office by 2/12/19. Mon 6 January - Year 5 trip to St Chad's Cathedral

Year 5 will visit St Chads Cathedral in Birmingham. Children will travel via train, need to wear uniform (and waterproof coat) and bring a packed lunch with non fizzy drinks in a named disposable bag. They will return for normal home time. Pupils can bring £5 to spend in the gift shop at St Chads on this day. This money will be their responsibility. Wed 8 January - Year 2 trip to Pizza Express

As part of their Spring topic, Year 2 will be visiting Pizza Express on this day. Y2KR will travel by bus to Birmingham and Y2CC will travel by bus to Sutton Coldfield. Cost of travel has been included in the charge for the Buddhist Temple trip on 6/1/20. Payment request sent out via ParentMail 24/9/19.

Children will make pizzas on this day and bring them back to school to eat for their dinner. They will NOT need a school dinner or packed lunch on this day. However IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT EAT PIZZA please let School Office know by Monday 2nd December 2019 so we can organise a school meal for them on their return from this trip.

Thu 9 January - Year 1 trip to Balaji Temple

During Multi Faith week in January 2020, Year 1 will visit the Balaji Temple, Birmigham. Travel by coach, wear uniform and bring a packed lunch in a named disposable bag. Children will return for normal home time. If you wish school to provide a SET packed lunch please speak to School Office by 2/12/19. Details sent out via ParentMail 25/9/19.

Thu 9 January - Year 4 trip to Multi Faith Centre

As part of Multi Faith week in January, Year 4 will visit a Multi Faith centre in Birmingham on this day. They will travel by coach, wear uniform, need a packed lunch in a named disposable bag and will return for normal home time. Payment request sent out via Parentmail 25/9/19.

Wed 5 February - Y5JM trip to Jewellery Museum

Year 5JM will be visiting the Jewellery Museum in Birmingham. Children will leave school at 8:30am and return for 3:30pm. They will travel via train, need to wear uniform (and waterproof coat) and bring a packed lunch with non fizzy drinks in a named disposable bag. Thu 6 February - Y5LD trip to Jewellery Museum

Wed 11 to Fri 13 March - Year 5 Alton Castle Residential

As part of their Confirmation preparation, all Year 5 children are expected to attend this 3 day residential retreat. This is a wonderful experience for children where they engage in outdoor activities whilst reflecting on their forthcoming sacrament of Confirmation. Full details sent out on ParentMail 24/6/19. A payment request for this has been sent out via ParentMail.

Thu 12 March - Year 3 Day Retreat to Alson Castle

Year 3 children will attend a one day retreat at Alton Castle on Thursday 12/3/2020 as part of their Sacramental preparation for Holy Communion. We ask that all children in Y3 attend this wonderful day - those children who are not making their Holy Communion are asked to attend and support their class at this important time. Children need to arrive at school at 8:15am on this day. They will need a packed lunch with plenty of drinks (non fizzy) and wear clothing suitable for outdoor activities. Children should be back at school for normal home time arrangements. Payment request sent out via ParentMail on 24/9/19.

Thu 26 and Fri 27 March - Year 4 Condover Hall Residential

Children have the opportunity to attend an overnight stay at Condover Hall where they take part in lots of different indoor and outdoor activities. Details sent out via ParentMail June 2019.
