Upcoming Trips/Event Information for Parents

Thu 5 September - Year 1 trip to Thinktank

Year 1 they will be going on a trip to Thinktank in Birmingham on this day. All children will need to wear school uniform (with waterproof coat) and bring a packed lunch in a clearly labelled disposable bag. They will return to school for normal home time. A payment request will be sent out via ParentMail for this amount.

If you wish school to provide a SET packed lunch for your child on this day please contact School Office by Monday 8 July 2019.

Thu 5 September - Year 2 trip to Black Country Museum

Year 2 will be going on a trip to the Black Country Museum on the above day to start their new topic. Children need to wear old fashioned/victorian clothes and bring a packed lunch with drinks in a clearly named disposable carrier bag. They will return to school for normal home time. A payment request will be sent out via ParentMail for the cost of this trip.

If you wish school to provide a SET packed lunch for your child on this day please contact School Office by Monday 8th July 2019.

Thu 5 September - Year 3 Sleepover

Year 3 children are invited to attend a sleep-over in school as part of their topic. Children will be working in the forest area to build a shelter using only what they have been provided with from school and what they can find in the forest area. We will have a campfire; after this the children will sleep in the school hall, ready to bunk down for the night. Details sent out via ParentMail on 17/7/2019.

Fri 27 September - Year 6 Shakespeare Festival Workshop

Pupils will be attending a workshop at The Old Rep theatre on this day. They will travel by train to Birmingham and need to wear uniform (with a waterproof coat) and bring a packed lunch (no fizzy drinks) in a clearly labelled disposable bag. Children will return to school for normal hometime arrangements.

A payment request for cost of travel will be sent via ParentMail.

Fri 8 November - Year 6 Shakespeare Festival Performance

On this day Year 6 will leave school at approximately midday for dress rehearsals at The Old Rep, ready for their performance on the evening at 7pm.

The evening finishes at approximately 10pm – all children need to be collected from the venue on this evening (even if you do not choose to purchase a ticket to watch them in their performance) as staff will not be coming back to school. Further information concerning arrangements for performance day will be sent out nearer the time.

A payment request for cost of travel will be sent via ParentMail.

Tickets for the performance are sold by The Old Rep Theatre on a first come first served basis. They sell out quickly – you have been warned! You purchase tickets from The Old Rep Theatre on 0121 359 9444 or online (external link). Please check the The Old Rep website on a regular basis to see when these tickets are going on sale. As yet we have not been informed of a date.

Wed 11 to Fri 13 March - Year 5 Alton Castle Residential

As part of their Confirmation preparation, all Year 5 children are expected to attend this 3 day residential retreat. This is a wonderful experience for children where they engage in outdoor activities whilst reflecting on their forthcoming sacrament of Confirmation. Full details sent out on ParentMail 24/6/19.

Thu 26 and Fri 27 March - Year 4 Condover Hall Residential

Children have the opportunity to attend an overnight stay at Condover Hall where they take part in lots of different indoor and outdoor activities. Details sent out via ParentMail June 2019.
